Because if you can't scare the bejeezus out of your kids at Christmas time, what kind of parent are you?

In Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as "half-goat, half-demon", who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts.

Our highly-detailed Krampus Ornament features a long, red paper tongue and is articulated with moveable arms and legs. He holds a copper pitchfork in one hand and a whip in the other. He has a wicker basket on his back (in which to carry off the bad children) and metal bells around his hooves. Truly the stuff of nightmares. Not that that's a bad thing!
